Hello
I’m Linda Giulia Carluschi, and I'm a London-based illustrator and graphic designer passionate about colourful visual storytelling, playful characters and creating artwork that makes people smile.
I specialise in children’s book illustration, creating whimsical and expressive artwork that brings characters, stories and ideas to life. I love exploring personality through character design, building imaginative worlds and creating images that help young readers connect with a story.
My aim is always to make illustrations feel warm, engaging and full of life, while encouraging curiosity and a love of reading.
Alongside my illustration work, I create colourful gouache wall art, inspired by nature, everyday moments, animals, people and the little details that make life special. I love the texture and warmth of traditional paint and enjoy creating joyful, characterful pieces that can bring colour and personality to homes, nurseries, children's bedrooms and creative spaces.

My creative journey began with Fine Arts and Design studies in Milan, Italy, where I developed a strong foundation in drawing, composition, colour and visual communication. After moving to the UK, I continued developing my illustration practice, specialising in children’s book illustration at the London Art College. I also worked as an Early Years Educator, giving me a valuable insight into children's development and the way young children engage with images, stories and visual information.
Alongside illustration, I have over 10 years of experience in graphic design, working across branding, packaging, editorial, advertising, print and digital design. I began my design career in a Milan-based agency before moving into freelance illustration and combining my commercial design experience with my love of storytelling and children's art.
Over the years, I have collaborated with publishers and creative companies including Babidi-bù Libros, Latte Di Nanna, Central23 and iAM Learning, creating character designs, storyboards, book illustrations, educational resources and complete book layouts. My experience across both illustration and graphic design allows me to think about not only how an image looks, but also how it communicates and connects with its audience.
Whether I’m illustrating a children's story, developing a new character, designing an educational resource or painting a colourful gouache piece, I love creating work that feels joyful, thoughtful and full of personality.
I’m always interested in new creative collaborations, from children’s publishing and educational projects to illustration commissions, graphic design and original artwork.
